My XYL loves the beach. Although I grew up on
Brevard County's Space Coast, Joanne was born in Toronto, ON. She
loves the beach. When the weather is good, we head out with our
chairs, umbrella, sunscreen, and ham radio, of course! I have a
Yaesu FT-817 that feeds a a homemade antenna system made up of
either a Hamstick-style vertical or an Outbacker Stealth Plus. I
have made numerous contacts in Europe and other locales. When I make
a 5 Watt DX contact, Joanne gets as excited as I do! I'm very
blessed to have a supportive wife like Joanne. |
